Community Impact projects 

The Junior League of Santa Barbara is committed to meeting our community’s most pressing needs through hands-on service, meaningful collaboration, and programs that uplift and empower local youth and survivors.

JLSB partners with mission-aligned organizations to expand our reach and deepen our impact—supporting youth empowerment, literacy, community wellness, survivor advocacy, and critical resource access throughout Santa Barbara County.

Our volunteers engage in a wide range of projects that make a tangible difference. We recently renovated a library for Hope Refuge, transforming the space into a welcoming, healing environment for survivors of trafficking.

Our members assemble welcome bags for survivors of human trafficking and domestic violence, providing comfort, dignity, and essential items during moments of crisis. We mentor local youth, host confidence-building events such as our annual Tea Party, facilitate résumé and career workshops, and support a variety of programs that strengthen youth and families. 

Whether we are renovating spaces, preparing resources, uplifting survivors, or guiding young people toward brighter futures, JLSB members consistently show up where they are needed most. Together, we fill critical gaps, build community resilience, and create pathways to safety, stability, and empowerment.
